Founded by marathon runner, triathlete, and coach, Jose Gonzalez, in 1989, SBAP has organized and produced the Santa Barbara Duathlon, Roses to La Playa, La Cumbre to La Playa, Santa Barbara Chardonnay 10 Miler and Santa Barbara Action Pro Kids' Triathlon.

In organizing and promoting the Roses to La Playa race, Gonzalez hopes to create an institution of athletics and entertainment that will benefit a different local cause. Santa Barbara Action Pro is an organization that promotes health and a new ative life style in our community.
